A Complete Cleaning This does not take long, but it will take longer than a few minutes. Take the Chillum pipe and submerge it in some sort of 420 cleaning solution or even rubbing alcohol. Let the glass sit in the solution as the cleaners work their way through the resin build up. Feel free to shake the piece around while submerged, and even use a scraping tool to help speed up the process. Continue to soak, shake and scrape until more or less cleaned up. Once finished, run the pipe under hot water, but Do Not burn yourself. Run the water through the pipe to remove any last debris as well as completely rinse the glass of any last cleaner solutions. Once finished, let the pipe dry. This whole process can take 10-20 minutes depending on the exact situation.
