Yocan Pandon Review

The Pandon is an amazing wax vape that can utilize two separate wax coils at once, each with dual quartz coils. Adjust the temperature to fine tune the vaping experience for taste and to turn up the heat for huge dab hits.

The Yocan Pandon for sale is another step in the right direction by Yocan Vapes. For years now, Yocan has developed a reputation for providing quality products, like the Pandon, to its devoted consumers. The Pandon is exclusively a vape pen designed for wax and it excels at its sole responsibility. Yocan’s goal for the Pandon was to provide a rig-like experience that you can hold in your palm. To this end, they’ve included 2 dual-quartz atomizers—effectively creating a quad-coil vape. There are few, if any, quad-core vaporizers out there on the market for wax/concentrates today, making the Pandon a one-of-a-kind.

One pull from the Pandon will tell you that it is not for the faint of heart. Luckily, you don’t have to use its full power every time you want to enjoy that renowned Yocan performance. Yocan has employed a type of vape temperature control not seen on many other wax pens. They’ve also included a hefty battery to power that quad-core power and you can expect to get a couple of days out of one charge. Considering the sheer level of power possible with the Pandon, that’s an incredible feat by itself. Yocan has even included nifty little tops to the coil chambers that can reliably prevent spillage and wax buildup.

There’s a lot to like about the ultra-powerful Pandon—especially for power vapers and those that are looking for a way to up the ante on their vaping experience. Thanks to high quality and temperature controls, there’s a place for the Pandon in any vaper’s lineup.

Looks and Design

The Yocan Pandon is sleek and simple, taking after the design philosophy employed by other Yocan products. It has just one, simple button on the front that controls both power and temperature. This button is lit with different-colored lights depending on the heat setting being employed. When you charge the device with the micro-USB cable provided, the light will turn to green.

If you pop the mouthpiece off the vaporizer, you can access the coil caps and the coils themselves. It is a double-silo design inside, with both coils needing to be filled if you want to access the full power of the Yocan Pandon. Both coils are also covered with a functional coil cap that prevents leakage and dissipates heat away from the mouthpiece and your lips.

Top Attribute

If you are worried about the possibility of overdoing it, don’t worry, Yocan has got you covered. Temperature control is at the top of their list of priorities and is this device’s best attribute. They’ve designed the Pandon to be able to use just one of its double coils at once. That means you can effectively halve the power of your device for some smoother, more flavorful hits. Of course, the beauty of this feature is the ability to be flexible with the types of hits you want.

It’s not a choice between a normal hit and a slightly better hit, either. The power of the Yocan Pandon can only be matched by larger box mods and the only way to truly surpass the size of the Pandon’s hit would be to use a professional dab rig.

You can control the voltage of the device through its three settings: Green (Low)- 3.5V, Blue (Middle)- 3.8V, White (High)- 4.2V. These settings are accessed by pressing the power button 5 times to activate it and then pressing the power button twice more to get to the next voltage setting.

How to use the Pandon Wax Vape?

  • Gather your wax concentrates in a non-stick silicone container.
  • Remove the vape mouthpiece of the Pandon.
  • Inside are the wax coils aka atomizers. Remove the caps from both atomizers – you can use just one atomizer if you wish.
  • Transfer the wax concentrates from the dab container to the wax coils. Use the dabber tool provided for easy handling and precision loading. Do Not over pack the coils.
  • Once properly packed, replace both the atomizer caps and the vape mouthpiece.
  • Turn on the device by pressing the power button 5 times in a row.
  • Select your temperature by pressing the power button twice, in rapid succession. You can change your temperature settings whenever you want.
  • There is a safety auto-shutoff feature that activates when the power button has been activated for too long. Once you vape through the wax the session is either over, or you can re pack and start again.

Cleaning the Yocan Pandon

Cleaning anything related to wax concentrate vaping is going to be a little harder than if you were using dry herbs. Luckily, wax pens act a bit like self-cleaning ovens and the Yocan Pandon has one of the most impressive ovens around.

All you need to do is take the mouthpiece and coil caps off and turn the device on while keeping an eye out on the remaining wax residue. (You can vape this, of course, but the dregs of a session will always taste worse the closer you get to clean) The remaining wax should evaporate and leave your coils in better shape.

If that doesn’t get everything, you can always carefully scrape the chambers and anywhere else you may find wax residue build up.

Is the Pandon for me?

No matter which device you are interested in, your final decision should come down to your personal preference. You might find that a unit you like the look of doesn’t have the hardware necessary to satisfy your vaping needs—or vice versa. With the Yocan Pandon, what you see is what you get when it comes to looks. It’s a simple, classy vape that’s easy on the eyes.

What really counts with this beauty is what’s under the hood. The quad-core technology is basically unheard of at this stage and the vapor you can produce is mesmerizing. Even if you aren’t a “massive clouds” kind of person, having the flexibility to pump up the power will give you peace of mind. Think about it: there may be a situation where you might need more heat!

For experienced vapers, that flexibility is an invaluable trait. After all, you never know what kind of material it is that you’ll be vaping—sometimes that extra heat can be the difference between a good session and a bad one. Not to mention, it will really impress the old-school “dab-riggers” with its rig-like vapor production.

That being said, if you are new to the hobby, you should definitely take the time to learn about your preferences with vapor and your ability to handle the effects. The power produced by the Yocan Pandon is not something to be trifled with. You can only know your limits with practice.

But, even newbies can appreciate the massive battery and impressive battery life available from the Yocan Pandon. When you taste the delicious vapor produced from the 4 quartz coils of the Pandon—available time and time again without charging—you will notice the Yocan difference.

Vaping Wax with the Pandon vs Dabbing Wax

If you’re looking at the Pandon, you most likely have encountered wax in the wild before. If that’s the case, you probably “dabbed” it off of a rig. This “oil rig” entails a complicated mix of parts that culminate in a “Domeless nail” (which is sometimes literally a nail) being super-heated by a blow torch. As you can imagine, mixing substances together with the use of a blow torch is not exactly the best idea out there. However, some die-hards stick to it like glue because the hits are so impressively heavy.

With the Yocan Pandon, you can get as close to those hits as possible without worrying about setting the curtains on fire. The quad-core heating technology is exceptionally potent and is being lauded as a prime alternative to dabbing with a rig. It’s just easier. There’s less mess and you don’t have to worry about messing around with butane. All you need to do to load up again is charge the battery—something anybody with a smartphone does every day anyway.

Last, but certainly not least, is the portability of the Pandon and other handheld wax pens. Dab rigs are almost never taken away from home. For one, it’s a nefarious looking setup that will attract the attention of even the most lenient authority figure. Plus, they tend to be quite heavy and bulky. Combine that with the possibility of exploding butane in a hot car and most people will start to think twice about traveling with their dab rig. With a wax pen, your ability to vaporize is only limited by your courage and tenacity. Good luck out there and choose wisely.
